Concussion

Concussion Treatment-A concussions defined by the National Library of Medicine is  a minor traumatic brain injury that may occur when the head hits an object, or a moving object strikes the head. It can affect how the brain works for a while. A concussion can lead to a bad headache, changes in alertness, or loss of consciousness.

Concussions can be caused by numerous things including falling of a ladder, bike, or icy sidewalk, sports related activities, car accidents or even the same repetitive jarring motion.  A common misconception is that when you receive a concussion it usually knocks you out or you pass out. A lot of concussions are mild and result in seeing white spots or stars.  Symptoms vary but can include:

  • Being drowsy, hard to wake up, or similar changes
  • Headache, Migraines
