Recent medical research has found that massage therapy can help boost the immune system by restoring the natural flow of the body’s “T Cells”, which fight off viruses.
In a recent study in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, Researchers found that patients receiving Swedish Massages had a drastic decrease in the hormone arginine-vasopressin (which helps your body with water retention and blood pressure) and came to the conclusion that Swedish Massage can possibly effect the immune system in a positive way.
Massage therapy as a form of immune boosting is seen to be a preventive therapy, so please do not schedule an appointment while having flu like symptoms.
